The Prince William County RC Flyers club was established to promote and facilitate the sport of flying of radio controlled model aircraft in Northern Virginia. The club is chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) as AMA Club #3160 and is incorporated in Virginia as a non-profit corporation.
The Club’s intent is to promote the safe operation of Club radio control flying activities and to disseminate information to promote the safe and enjoyable flying of radio controlled model aircraft. The club periodically conducts free training and certification to Boy Scouts leading to the award of the Aviation Merit Badge.
Scoutmasters please contact us if you are interested in setting up a class for your scouts. In the class the scouts will be taught everything needed to get thier aviation merit badge. In addition they will also be able to fly a radio controlled airplane with one of our instructors, and view flight demonstrations from our members.
